What Is PCF or Prospective Client Finding ?

PCF : This is the first term , I learned when I started my career as Internet Specialist in the Digital World. It is main reason for any business and if digital media marketer failed to figure out it appropriately, then you will run with loss.

Let me first explain you exactly what does it mean: PCF otherwise know as Prospective Client Finding.

Finding potential customers is as difficult as finding pearl from the sea. This requires great strategy with proper knowledge.

For any business, the main prime part is to find where their potential customers are sitting. Moreover, it is very important to understand what kind of business you are having. What I came across during my interaction with business is that they could not able to find out what kind of business they are into.
Prospective Client Finding

To make the things better, let’s go deep into this. Every business has been classified into the following categories:

1.Business To Business (B2B) and

2.Business To Customers (B2C)

Therefore, based on these two category, one can easily decide their potential customers and moreover easily figure out the where they can be approach. This entire process is termed as Prospective Client Finding .

How this help?

Once you have the clear understanding of PCF (Prospective Client Finding), it’s now very easy to proceed to next level i.e. the approaches to follow to reach your potential customers. These approaches are as below:

1.Email Marketing

2.Social Media Approach

3.Approach via Ads (Google Ads, Facebook Ads, banners running via websites)

4.Phone calls

5.Offline meeting eg: CXO’s meet-up, CMO’s meet-up etc

However, above all these is , the main important part is your correct approach. Indulging in wrong approach, not only increases the time loss but also your whole strategy gets effected. Hence in digital marketing, correct approach with proper strategy is what, every success business would like to go with.

It will not be right if I end up my blog without telling that every business irrespective of its size and type, should learn the real value of Prospective Client Finding and should understand this is the trigger point to their success.

      Hi Chirag,

      Thanks for sharing your concern regarding PCF. Let me tell you PCF requires detail analysis about the clients to whom you are approaching. Its one of the face of email marketing. But email marketing is blind, unless one has properly researched the list of clients that one wants to target.
      You can slowly start with lower list of clients where you can highlight their issues touching the issues you fill you can provide the service and also it can impact their business if gets resolved.
      Create a good template – good and professional template is main which creates impression about your approach and help clients to make final decision.

      Send the report to the client with good space of time and keep tracking the happenings. Believe me if you can win this, rest is miracle.
      Maximum % business fails in spending quality time in PCF because of time.
